Our church is a non profit organization registered as a 501(c) public charity. All donations are fully tax
If you enjoy listening to the sermons on the website and are able to help contribute to the maintenance and restoration of this historical building, your donations will be greatly appreciated and will be used to carry on the work that the Lord has called us to do. God blessed us with enough to purchase this building outright, so we are not carrying the burden of a mortgage. We have no additional overhead like the larger churches as our members volunteer their expertise in many areas to assist with the day to day operation. All money that is taken in by the church is used strickly for the charitable work that we do and the extra expenses of the church. I am blessed to also have my own successful business, and therefore I do not take any salary from the church. We are dedicated to helping the people in our church and community in these times of economic trouble.
We are also trying to restore and repair our building which according to Henry County records, was built in 1905, while maintaining the historical design and charm. Our members have pitched in and given us a lot of help in getting the building ready for worship, including some much needed painting and flooring replacement. However, cosmetic repairs are only the beginning, we had to have the building treated for termites to stop the progression of structural damage and many of the windows leak when it rains. They will eventually need to be replaced, but for now our main goal is to have the front doors to the sanctuary replaced. We are not sure if they are original to the building, but they are very old and the wood is worn and flaking from several seasons of swelling and shrinking. At present, due to the tough economy, our congregation is able to maintain the monthly costs, but additional expenses are out of our reach.
